  • Test Analyst

    LOCATION:

    Solihull

    The test analyst will be responsible for working as hard as they can to 'break' the RPS product suite and to help the design process. The test analyst will work closely with the software developers to understand more about what each product is meant to do, its key features and who will use it.

    The individual will run functional tests, customer scenario testing, stress testing, performance testing, scalability testing and international testing. The ultimate goal is to iron out any bugs and improve the quality of the finished product using both automated and manual processes.

    The test analyst will often be working on more than one project at a time, resulting in working around the demands of the project rather than the clock.  The role will involve picking apart months of hard work by software developers, who might not be too happy about your criticisms. The individual must remain tactful and diplomatic to maintain a good working relationship with them at all times.

    Key responsibilities

    • Undertake detailed software testing on the Reapit product suite.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of each Reapit product and align testing to business processes.
    • Review existing testing processes and recommend and implement changes as appropriate.
    • Review automated testing solutions and implement as required.
    • Support the development teams with user interface reviews and usability/functionality testing.
    • Implement version management acceptance, to ensure un-tested versions are not deployed to client sites.
    • Impact analysis reviews, understanding the changes made and the impact on other aspects of the applications.

    Professional Requirements

    • Experience of implementing stress, business and performance testing processes.
    • Experience of manual and automated testing methodologies.
    • Proven track record of testing software solutions.
    • Ability to assign business processes to software design and development.
    • Experience of working with automated outsourcing companies, to evaluate internal and external testing requirements.
