Reapit retain Supplier of the Year crown at The Estate Agency of the Year Awards 2012

21st Dec 2012

For the second consecutive year Reapit were awarded Supplier of the Year at The Estate Agency of the Year Awards in association with The Sunday Times and The Times.

On Thursday 6th December, approximately 600 leading estate agents and conveyancing lawyers descended upon The Lancaster London Hotel opposite Hyde Park for The Estate Agency of The Year Awards ceremony. The winners received their awards from celebrity guest, double Olympic Gold medallist Rebecca Addlington.

The awards ceremony was the culminating event of a rigorous and thorough judging process carried out by a panel of industry experts, who assessed initial entry submissions before conducting an extensive review of the entrants including hundreds of telephone interviews and mystery shopping exercises. The whole judging process was overseen by The Property Ombudsman, Christopher Hamer.

The awards have become increasingly competitive with the standard of entries rising higher than ever before. Now in their tenth year, these awards are firmly established as the most sought-after and difficult to win in estate agency. Over 5,000 offices were represented this year but only the very best of the best were crowned as winners.

Reapit, winners of Supplier of the Year, were delighted to receive the Gold award for the second year in a row. An extract from the judges’ report reads “The team at Reapit proved without a doubt that they are indeed a gold standard supplier by consolidating last year’s gold award with a repeat win this year. They take a consultative approach to really understand what their customers want, and the fact that many of the team worked in estate agency results in real comprehension of what is required, and how this can best be implemented.”

Simon Whale, director of Reapit, commented “We were delighted to have won the award last year and we’re no less pleased with the win again, as anyone who witnessed our subdued manner of acceptance can testify to, not least because it’s the first time that anyone’s retained the trophy or indeed won it for a second time.

“We knew we were up against it in the face of so many brilliant other contenders, it’d be wrong to say I wasn’t surprised but then I see the first class service our team devote to our clients and it does become a little clearer why the judges felt we were worth it.

“I’d also like to say a huge thanks to our clients and other people within the industry, we’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of messages we had both on the night and since”.

Peter Knight, Chairman of the event organisers Estate Agency Events, commented “When we set up the awards ten years ago our goal was to encourage, identify, highlight, reward and promote best practice in Estate Agency - a decade on we now have a competition that is without question the most sought-after prize in the industry as well as being the longest established. Each year the quality and quantity of entries considerably increases and the winners can be very proud in the knowledge that they have beaten some seriously good competitors.

"Reapit should be justly proud to be the first to ever win the Gold Award for Best Supplier two years running. No doubt Reapit will also be thrilled that so many of their Estate Agency clients were award winners including Romans, the Overall Estate Agency of the Year."
